Project Manager in Construction

Scope of the position

In the frame of international Integrated Project Management Team, the Project Execution Expert takes global responsibility for exercising control over the implementation phase of several types of projects, including residential complexes, retail centers, office buildings and industrial projects.

Job Description

  • Responsible for the proper handling of the project objectives during the implementation phase (permitting, procurement, construction)
  • Responsible for the follow-up of all operations with local authorities
  • Responsible for the development of and control over the detailed project implementation schedule and budget in the implementation phase
  • Responsible for monitoring the technical changes, and for technical and financial administration
  • Completes the performance verifications, with consideration given to the opinion of the Integrated Project Team.
  • Responsible for inviting reports from the contractor companies, and for commenting them
  • Analyses the reports in connection with the implementation activities
  • Participates in inspection function associated with the acceptance of the process unit, and in editing the punch lists.
  • Organizes and co-ordinates the projects/contractor activities necessary during the pre-commissioning and commissioning.
  • Proceeds with the financial activation and the technical and financial close-out of the project.

Requirements

  • University degree in Civil/Mechanical Engineering
  • Good project management skills, analytical skills, creativity and flexibility, problem solving, assertive communication
  • 8+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience in the field of engineering, project management, contracting, controlling, risk management
  • Advanced user of Microsoft Office tools
  • Ability to use AutoCad
  • Native/fluent Hungarian required and good command of English is mandatory

Electrical Works Manager

Job Description

  • Coordinates construction subcontractors and is responsible for a designated area and for the mechanical works package;
  • Ensures that the construction works are undertaken by subcontractors according to time schedule as directed;
  • Analyzes technical documentation and technical solutions – solving current problems on site;
  • Preparation of accurate project documentation (quality documents, work situations, closing documentation, etc.);
  • Participates in the daily coordination site-visits and weekly technical meetings;
  • Participates in the subcontractor/ main tender processes;
  • Supervises and implements the EHS regulations by ensuring that safety best practices are implemented on all site activities.

Requirements

  • Electrical engineering degree;
  • Native/fluent Hungarian required and good command of English is mandatory;
  • 5 years of experience in a similar position (former experience working for a general contracting company is an asset);
  • Ability to use AutoCad, Word and Excel;
  • Leadership skills, being able to lead group of workers and dealing with subcontractors;
  • Conflict management skills;
  • Organizational and time management skills, as well as excellent communication skills.

Mechanical Works Manager

TENDERING ENGINEER

Ideal Candidate

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering
  • Min. 5 years in international contracting
  • Good English/Communication skills – liaising with clients and project site personnel involved on each contract – by telephone, email and other written correspondence
  • Experience using and proficient with AutoCAD, MS Project (preferably Primavera)
  • Experience using MS Office software packages

Job Description

  • Oversee the construction project from start to finish.
  • Perform a key role in project planning, budgeting, and identification of resources needed.
  • Devise the project work plans and make revisions as and when need arises.
  • Communicate effectively with the contractors responsible for completing various phases of the project.
  • Co-ordinate the efforts of all parties involved in the project, which include the architects, consultants, contractors, sub-contractors and laborers.
  • Monitor the progress of the construction activities on a regular basis and hold regular status meetings with all the sub-teams.
  • Maintain strict adherence to the budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards.
  • Identify the elements of project design and construction likely to give rise to disputes and claims.
  • Serve as a key link with the clients and review the deliverable prepared by the team before passing onto client.

Technical Office Engineer

Ideal Candidate

  • University degree in Civil Engineering/ Construction
  • 2-5 years of experience in a construction company, preferably on larger projects
  • Excellent English communication skills, both oral and written; German is an advantage
  • Proficient in computer skills – Microsoft Office; MS Project and Autocad; PRIMAVERA is an advantage

Job Description

  • Identifying additional works and obtaining addendums to contracts for construction sites
  • Analysis & recognition of risks and opportunities, developing the strategies for construction projects in tender phase
  • Provide and gather all the required technical documents such as drawings, manuals and instructions for the construction team.
  • Conduct quantity surveying for all executed works
  • Prepare and follow-up the documentation for claims and variation order and follow-up the documentation
  • Ensure that all drawings, documentation and records in use are reviewed and approved
  • Ensure the implementation of the Project Quality Plan
  • Prepare time schedule for executed work versus planned
  • Follow up and log the cashing of invoices from the client
  • Preparing monthly report presenting the current situation of executed work
  • Define and implement corrective actions where deficiencies are detected
  • Planning and reporting site activities
